December 2013

Thank you for all the amazing support this year.  As a result of your generosity, we have been able to make a positive impact with our adaptive art workshops at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL, Push To Walk in Riverdale, NJ, and Into Action in Boynton Beach, FL.  We’ve also had the opportunity to exhibit many awesome artists this year at Rise Up Gallery.  We are grateful to all those who provide financial support that enables us to pursue our goal of using art to help people recover from catastrophic injuries.  If you share our goal, there’s still time left to make a tax-deductible donation for 2013. As a 100% volunteer based organization funded entirely through grants, private donations, and the sale of local artwork, we are committed to spending your dollars wisely and efficiently.
Team Rise Up is recruiting a group of runners and rollers to participate in the Miami 5K on Sunday, February 2nd.  We need your help to make this event a success!  If you are interested in running please contact Kristi Bachan at kristibachan@gmail.com.  If you are interested in supporting our runners, please donate via the Razoo link below.  Its going to be a great race!  Thank you!
On September 19th, The Miami Dade Cultural Affairs Department awarded Rise Up Gallery with a Community Development Grant for the second consecutive year.  We are humbled and appreciative for their continuing support and strong belief in our shared mission of community improvement through the Arts.
On November 30th, The Wynwood Tour Guide went live, which is an iPhone app that provides a walking tour of the amazing outdoor murals and street art in Miami’s Wynwood Arts District. Co-developed by David McCauley, a portion of all proceeds goes to funding Rise Up Gallery’s award wining community based arts programs.
